Good things come in small packages. Never has the adage rang more true than at Brickyard BBQ, a cozy north Denver spot serving one of Denver's best 'cues. The crooning of jazz legends Billie Holiday and Louis Armstrong and large black and white vintage photos make the family-owned restaurant a comfy lunch and dinner spot. The walls bear signatures of Brickyard fans of a menu boasting straightforward barbecue done right (ribs, brisket, chicken, links, steak fries, baked beans, corn and oversized toast). The crowds of neighborhood folks are a testament to good cookin' at a good price. The tidy redbrick corner joint has room for just a handful of closely aligned tables, making intimate conversation a difficult endeavor. But who wants to talk while tackling ribs? -- Drew Myron

Like others (from reviews), I got excited and was kind of dissapointed. I had the brisket and the pork which were ok but not enough to warrent a massive detour for another visit. Could have hit it on an off day - but with BBq there should not be off days.

I don't get it.

People rave about this place which I just can't fathom. I went there twice and the BBQ ranged from atrocious to mediocre. The prices were high and the service was abysmal.

We try every BBQ we hear of and so far the Brick Yard is the very best yet. The Best.
