Whether you're a power broker, a power forward, or just an insurance salesman on a power trip, Brook's Steak House & Cellar in Greenwood Village is always a powerful choice. Designed and decorated according to upscale-steakhouse tradition -- note the ubiquity of redwood and starched white tablecloths -- Brook's reeks of class, quality and richness, not unlike an expensive stogie. And while cigars are permitted post-porterhouse, steak is of course the star of the show. House favorites include the USDA Prime New York strip and bone-in ribeye. But seafood plays an important supporting role: Brook's Colossal Surf & Turf (lobster and filet mignon) and the king crab legs, which also can be paired with steak, receive high marks. The wine selection includes over 900 varieties from around the world, earning Wine Spectator's prestigious Award of Excellence. After your power dinner, relax in the cellar with a cigar among aficionados lighting up what must be $10 bills -- anything else would look positively middle-class. -- Konstantine Simakis

Over Priced and Under Serviced
By tomlynns on 02/20/2007
Prices are exhorbitant, two Grandsons split the crab dinner and after the "split" charge of $10.00 the total was $75.00, plus tax and tip, and it was not that good. Other steaks were okay but nothing special, service was hurried and not very good. I will never go back.

Tough steaks & nobody cares
By sprucelinden on 05/18/2006
Visited Brooks on Mother's day. We ordered 3 prime ribs which were so tough we took 2 bites and left the rest. Called Leslie a few days later and she said nobody else complained, so I guess that means we could not have had tough steaks, huh? The moral is don't complain: just don't ever go there. The difference between a good restraunt and a great restraunt is the attitude of the management; which in this case sucks. Everybody makes mistakes...not everybody admits and fixes it! At first Leslie said there was nothing she could do for me because I didn't complain on the spot. It was Mother's day and I wanted no conflict for my family. After I explained I really didn't want anything Leslie offered me a gift certificate...REAL professional! Just say sorry, not "nobody else complained". If you have a problem admit it and fix it, don't treat the customer like a dumb ass.

Best Steak I've Ever Had!
By czlady1 on 02/04/2006
My family took me here for my birthday. I have always wanted to go to Brooks and I finally got to go. I have been to all the steak houses in Denver and this one is truly the best! They wait staff was FANTASTIC and the food was OUTSTANDING! I will go back again and again. They accommodated my new grandbaby's stroller and treated us like royalty.
