There are no shamrocks, green beer or leprechauns here, but you will find well-poured drinks, a big, raucous crowd and lots of energy. A sprawling bar that is the mirror image of any UK pub, the Celtic Tavern is inviting for everyone from couples to crowds. The small, pocket-tabled Welsh area draws rousing conversationalists, the leather-couched Scottish Robert Burns room is a comfortable haven, and the large main room is the Irish literary area, decorated with the books and words of great Irish writers. The bar offers a wide selection of whiskey, scotch and non-Guinness beers, and the food -- whichraises the stake for bar grub everywhere -- is classic Welsh, Irish and Scottish fare, available for lunch or as a late-night snack. The Celtic Tavern's kitchen can also prepare anything you bring in from the hunt, given enough advance notice. Call for details.

Enjoy every weekend in The Celtic and Delaney's. It's great to drink a Murphy's Irish Stout brought directly from Ireland, served by courteous bar tenders. Maybe the person seeking "Nailans" should pop into school on the way there and learn how to spell Nallen's and Guinness properly....
