Now Illegal Pete's burrito junkies in Denver don't have to brave I-25 for a fix, because there's a location in downtown. Thankfully, there's nothing illegal about knocking back these heaping, tasty burritos. This is mission-style Mexican food with a pinch of Southern California. The eatery offers Baja-style fish tacos, sopaipillas, salads, quesadillas and, of course, delicious burritos made to your specifications. The new location has the same atmosphere as the other IP's but it's much bigger and a bit more uptown. There's a full bar and an increasingly popular happy hour. Stop in any day from 4-8PM for $1.50 drafts, $2 well drinks and bottled beer.

Best big burrito joint in Colorado
This place serves awesome burritos, and is far better than Qdoba or Chipotle. Their quesadillas and queso are also killer. The CityGuide description above is off. Illegal Petes started in Boulder on the Hill, then a store on Pearl Street. The first Denver store is the one on 16th, followed by the two in the Tech Center and Park Meadows.
