Rate and Write a Review When Denver folks get a hankering for some fluffy eggs or savory pancakes, even the long lines can't keep them away. The "Original" Pancake House opened in Portland in the '50s and lucky Denverites are the recipients of multiple transplants of the tasty chain. The key to the success is in the array of ultra-fine ingredients such as the 93 score butter, pure whipping cream and a bevy of other natural ingredients. The infamous apple pancake, a single pancake loaded with cinnamon apples and baked to crispy perfection, is the restaurant's trademark. The omelettes are fluffy and light, baked and served with pancakes. The crepes are served three to a plate and are infused with tangy fruits and syrups. For a different breakfast twist, try the "Joe," a medley of ground special recipe sausage, Spanish onion and fresh spinach scrambled with farm fresh eggs and then served with buttermilk pancakes. Expect long lines to get in on weekends and remember that these creations take time to prepare.
