Cherry Creek is swimming with upscale places to eat, but few provide the bang for the buck of this south Italian oasis. Grab a table inside the warm confines -- the spacious room is decked- out in dark woods and terra cotta colors -- and you'll find consistent Italian fare that delivers the goods. The antipasti menu gets things started nicely with crunchy-crusted bruschetta, a mixed stir-fry of shrimp and calamari or a plate of spinach sauteed in lemon juice. Salads are delicately dressed and blessed with a choice of divine toppings, from poached salmon or roasted mushrooms and more. Lunch crowds of shoppers and dressed-up after-5 diners go for plates of pro- grade pasta, everything from wallet-sized ravioli to tubes of rigatoni and swirls of delicious red-sauced spaghetti. We dive into the cioppino (one of the best in town) or school up with the roasted salmon.

Fair but NOT GREAT
By longears777 on 01/09/2004
I joined a large family gathering here, a table of 10 and the "service" was atrocious. The 4 year old child in our party was not given a child's booster chair, asked our waiter 4 times and he kept saying, "oh yeah!" but never brought one. I had to go and ask the manager for one! Then he brought out the child's dinner LAST and 10 minutes after all the adults had been served- a travesty! The food was fresh and acceptable, but nothing to sing about, that's for certain! Glorified cafeteria food is the best description. The risotto was gross. The most congenial and polite person there was our valet attendant, and he did not actually work for the restaurant...bad experience and a waste of money and our time.
