Situated along Old South Gaylord in hip Washington Park, this casual and convivial tavern-cum-restaurant overflows with neighborhood loyalists. They treasure the Cheers-like atmosphere for eclectic conversation, weekly trivia night (held every Tuesday) and the broad-spanning menu. Once a place for simple pub grub, chef Rocky Simpson has bolstered the menu to include ancho-crusted ahi fish tacos, bourbon-brined pork loin, and New Zealand mussels floating in a garlic saffron broth. The joint's great burgers still grace the roster, but now they're served on ciabatta bread and boast toppings such as prosciutto, brown sugar grilled apples, Thai pepper sauce, and jalapeno aioli. Arrive early for the weekday happy hour from 3-6PM, or play pop star during Wednesday night karaoke.
