Saddle up for six bars, a large dance floor, a hat doctor, mesquite barbecue, pool tables and a whole lot of country. This pick-up joint is perfect for those who love to two-step, line dance and swing around the huge dance floor. With the number of bars, there isn't much of a wait to be served and the staff is always on its toes. It never gets too crazy or too crowded on weekends due to the sheer size of this place. The outdoor balcony is a nice place to cool off or to cozy up for some conversation. You'll find the true country lovers on Fridays and Saturdays and the suburbanites fill the place for Ladies Night. Located off of Parker and Havana, Stampede is one of the only country dance bars on the south/central part of town. -- Jenny Stueve

Old, Cold and Dirty
By broncofan8081 on 12/29/2007
Went to the Stampede for the first time in many years. First of all, the place was freezing. My wife and I could not even take our jackets off. Second, the restrooms are horrible. They are cold, dirty, full of grafitti and they are not maintained. The bar smells and the carpet in the upstairs sticks to your shoes. They should spend less money on the big screens and LCD televsions and clean the dump up. They must have over $100.000 in video equipment but cannot place a roll of toilet paper in the mens room which has and inch of water and urine on the floor. What happened to this place? It was the nicest in town and now it makes the Grizzley Rose look like a palace. No wonder they are playing all that rap!

Out Of Towner!!!
By erika24f on 05/07/2006
I was out of town with a girlfriend of mine and your place got brought up, it took us awhile to get there so try giving better directions on your machine. But we had a great time the staff was friendly and fun, I felt right at home. There was this great bouncer that had the cutiest bubble butt so the veiw there was great. The enviorment was friendly and open I didn't feel like I was in a smokey bar where you couldnt talk to anyone. Next time im in town I will stop by for sure.

Stampede needs advertising.
By treibs40 on 09/16/2005
Still one of the best country dance floors in the metro area. Clyde usually does a good job on the music. He needs more George Strait watlz's though. Bob is an excellent dance teacher for the free lessons at 6:30. Thank God the 10 PM Hip Hop session has been dropped. I was beginning to think I was at the Proof, with all of the hip hop music. Stampede isn't as busy as it was 5 years ago when I first went in there. The mens room is now a disgrace. The mens room looks like a "corner gas station" restroom. Use the upstairs restroom. This use to be a pickup place. Not any more. Country Dancer

Wow what kind of place is closed on New Years Day? Bummer! I cannot find a website for the Stampede to find out what is going on there!
