There's no mistaking the Parisian authenticity of this snug bistro on the eastern edge of the swanky Highlands neighborhood. The decor -- a mishmash of countrified tables, tapestry-topped wooden chairs, creaky hardwood floors and a separate area selling Herbs de Provence and French plateware -- is casual by day with moms and tots lounging and intimate by night with stargazed couples. And the food, prepared by owner/chef Patrick DuPays, pleases them all. DuPays, who spends Saturday mornings scouting for fresh produce at the Boulder Farmers Market, reveres seasonal ingredients, a passion that parlays itself in the duck leg confit salad tumbling with frisee, white beans, and a tomato and mushroom pesto ragout. Other highlights include the croque Parisienne sandwiching imported ham and Emmenthal cheese, and savory crepes like the Normande, a thin pancake blanketed with veal sausage, sauteed apples, bean ragout and creme fraiche.
