Obviously, the main lure of a restaurant alongside an airport runway is location. And the Centennial Airport locale delivers, with huge west windows bordering the main dining area, an enclosed patio and small, private room that afford a bird's-eye view of planes, ground activity and a dividend panoramic, picturesque mountain scene as backdrop. Another drawing card is the fact that you can eat here any time from 7AM to 10PM every Tuesday through Saturday. Dinners focus on seafood specialties, in addition to steaks, chops and veal, as well as grilled pizzas and more than 30 wines that are all value-priced. The venue continues its comprehensive American breakfast and lunch menu every day of the week, a favorite of aviation patrons and locals for years. Count on meals made from scratch, with hearty portions and in-line prices. The menu includes fresh-roasted chile rellenos, pork sausage in biscuits and gravy, and an occasional wild-card entree, such as corned beef hash. Not as much a family joint as a power lunching spot, Perfect Landing also offers weekday happy hours from 4 to 6PM for unwinding in the light of a scenic Colorado sunset. -- Lisa Perry

best kept secret

Fortunately not a lot of people even know this delightful restaurant exists. Great breakfasts and lunches -- a little pricey for that type of menu but well worth it. As a bonus, guests can enjoy small aircraft activity on the tarmac and listen to the control tower on the outside deck.

Biggest and Best Breakfast Around!
By aviatorchick1 on 03/20/2000
Perfect landing is a great combination of a terrific breakfast overlooking the runways of Centennial Airport and the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Huge portions of the best of everything. I recommend the Breakfast Burrito or the Breakfast Special. A little pricey but boy do you get your money's worth! Best kept secret for great food. Rated as one of the best places to eat in the US among general aviation pilots!
