Iowa Machine Shed Restaurant   

I live in Texas now but whenever I am in Des Moines I try to eat at the Machine Shed. Their food is very well prepared and reasonable. Their personnel are especially friendly and nice. The meals are served promptly and always piping hot. What more can I say? Jim Orr

The food was awful. Everything was greasy and had no taste. They had no healthy choices on the menu. It took me 20 minutes to decide what to order because everything was cooked with bacon. It is famous for it's pork but I found the pork to be dull, boring and tough. I will never eat there again!

We found our steak was steamed and swimming in water. Not what we wanted. The rest of the meal was just OK.

This place is only good if you havve a large crowd to feed and even then it's not that great. You have to wait a long time for food and when you get it it seems like a waste of time because it's disgusting.
