Don't be surprised if you feel like you've just stepped into a Jack Kerouac novel. This jazz joint attracts some diehard beatniks, complete with the goatees, the berets and sandals. This is an intimate setting (in other words, tiny), but people come for the music: the club has the reputation for attracting some of the best jazz musicians in world, including Larry Smith and Winton Marsalis. Maybe that's why Danny Devito and Harry Connick, Jr., stop by when they're in town. Bert's is also known as one of the best spots for ribs. In the summer months, the staff rolls out the steel drum barbecue and roasts the ribs on the sidewalk next to the outdoor tables. You'll want to sit upwind. -- Sandra McNeill

GREAT JAZZ WORKSHOP" & FOOD!!!
Bert's is a place like "CHEERS" you are already at home and you never have to leave because, everything is there at your finger tips. Bert's serve's soul food that will make you slap yo mama! lol ;O) Their prices are affordable and the customer service is GREAAAAAAAAAAT!!!!
You can kick back unwind in this SAFE atmosphere and feel right at home. You can play Pool, Dance, OR just Eat and have a couple of drinks. Some nights there is Live open mic poetry and Live Jazz. Other nights there are Birthday parties, & Karoke,After Work affairs or Oldies but Goodies. Bert's has something for everyone. Mother's day is a Special day, Thanksgiving is a special day. Football season is a special day. Halloween for the children haunted house and it too is a special day.
