Local Cheers
By BouzoukiClub on 11/01/2008
I love this bar. Its all about a real local bar experience. They yell, they shout, girls can dance on the bar and they frequently light things on fire. The real Lions Drum line comes in after games and knocks it out. We go there all the time. if you want uppity go to the Opera House, if you want a real Detroit staight forward experience and want to party come hang out here!!!!

FED UP WITH POOR CUSTOMER SERV
By raphaelrlc on 05/24/2006
My friend (his initials are A.O.) and I after searching for a nice place with lots of TV’s and a nice crowd decided to watch game 6 of the Pistons/Cleveland series at Coaches Corner in downtown Detroit. Shortly after sitting at the bar we order drinks. I order a draft beer and A.O., who doesn’t drink, orders a soft drink. When the bartender brings the drinks, I notice that my drink is in a clear plastic 12 oz (?) cup. I looked to the left and too the right and noticed that everyone else with draft beer had a glass. So, to the lady sitting right next to me on the left of me in a joking tone, I say, “What’s up with the plastic cup?” She smiles and shrugs her shoulders and A.O. on the right does the same. We joke about it for a second and I decided to ask the bartender about it. I call him and he finally comes over, and jokingly with a smile I say to him, “Hey, excuse me, but what’s up with this small plastic cup?” He answered in a very authoritative voice, “Look! We’re out of glasses. All we have left is plastic 14 oz cups. We won’t charge you as much as the 16 oz! Then, he just walks away and doesn’t wait on any response from me. Now, I had no problem with the plastic cup. I figured that they had run out of glasses anyway. However, it appeared a lot smaller than 14 oz. Both my friend and the lady beside me expressed that they felt it was much smaller than that also. So, still no big deal since he said it was going to be cheaper. But I wanted to be clear on whether he really meant to say a 12 oz instead of 14 oz. So, as he is walking passed me I asked in a humorous, yet doubtful voice, “Are you sure this is a 14 oz cup? It looks much smaller.” He turns and says in a very disrespectful voice, “Look! I’m not going to have any attitude out you! It’s 14 oz!”
