Posh Nightclub   

Lush and lovely, this member of the downtown Ferndale nightlife team waxes swank and stylish along Woodward Avenue in the location formerly occupied by Cobalt (and, back in the day, Doug's Body Shop). Billed as akin to the Miami club experience, Posh seems to succeed. With plush furniture, mod-shaped bar, and custom metal and artwork from local artisans dotting the interior, it looks like someone set off a style-and-design bomb. Moderately priced drinks, a nice-sized dance floor and a powerful sound-system seem to keep everyone moving. The lower-level Ultralounge, which will likely specialize in private gatherings and VIP action, has its own DJ, bar and dance floor. Posh's dress code is strict, so if you want to avoid trouble, make sure to get gussied up. With a clientele of club-hoppers of the mid-20s to 30s vintage, it's part hipster landscape and part chill spot. If your taste in nightlife is high-end, Posh can provide sustenance.
