Rate and Write a Review Aside from a couple of top-shelf, four-star dining rooms, Oakland County was low on cocktail chic until The Bosco opened in very early July 2001 in Ferndale. And then it looked like everyone else started following suit. With is wide-open layout up front and narrowing, dimly-lit area in the back, cool became redefined. Expensive drinks like sake, showy vodkas and standard gin-mill fare flow, while quiet sounds emanate through a roomy lounge where it looks like someone set off an Ikea bomb. The blond wood, sharp lines, long sofas and overly designed and upholstered chairs are strewn about. A refreshing rear patio is unusually lush and relaxed despite a perpetually jammed four-lane road located on the other side of the building. The Bosco is a tough place for fashion victims, but it's unique in its approach to hosting drinks and music. And its longevity speaks for itself.
