What it lacks in ambience, China Ruby more than makes up for in fine, fast Chinese cuisine. It was once a diner, and some years ago was converted to a 20-table eatery. The amazingly friendly staff will probably know your name and what you're going to order after about three visits. A steady diet of China Ruby is sure to put a smile on your face -- perhaps one that's comparable to the beaming grin the giant Buddha statue wears when he greets patrons upon their arrival. -- Heidi Rehak

One of the few Asian restaurants with a real chef in front of the stove. The quality of the food shows it.
Excellent authentic Chinese
Incredibly good Szechuan and Hunanese selections. ( Peanut chicken is exceptional.) Definately a whole in the wall place, clean but food is definately the reason to go. Friendly service with a smile and a wink 8-12 dollars during dinner for huge portions. Same sizes for lunch for about $5. I'll go for broke on a truly excellent meal, but if I can get it just as good cheap what the heck.... Anything ethnic, spicy and hard-to-identify
