Former Detroit Red Wing favorite Dino Ciccarelli (an east side/Macomb County staple since his playing days), along with some partners, have opened this super-clubby new dance spot in the ever-growing area of M-59 and Hall Road in Shelby Township. Step inside its strip mall location and you're immediately surprised at how huge the place is, at nearly 10,000 square feet, replete with a colorful light show that could rival most live arena concerts. The massive circular dance floor sits smack in the middle -- with three more scattered throughout -- and is seemingly packed on Friday and Saturdays, as revelers let loose beneath the 5-foot disco ball. DJs spin mainly '70s through '90s dance music (think Duran Duran, Blondie, Cyndi Lauper) while a cover band does the same on Thursdays. It's a festive environment, considering the area is devoid of true dance clubs. The crowd ranges from 20s to 30s, with good spirits certainly at a maximum. If you're a ''girl who wants to have fun,'' or a group of ''boys (who) don't cry,'' high-tail out there for some serious dancing and an all-around good time.

Love This Place

My friend had her 35th birthday party at Club 22. We loved it. We danced all night long to our favorite 70s and 80s songs. Dino Ciccarelli personally came over and talked with our group to make sure we were having a good time. I would definitely go back! Love this place.
