Rate and Write a Review There is much more to this Irish pub than drunken St. Paddy's day sing-alongs and green beer. In fact, that might actually be an insult to regular patrons. Situated in tony downtown Birmingham, Dick O'Dow's screams authenticity. The heavy wooden chairs, weathered floors and good, clean pints of Guinness are as true to Ireland as can be. In fact, the entire pub was designed and built in Dublin, shipped to the states and reassembled into the lovely specimen that it is today. The fare isn't forgotten here, either. Traditional Irish grub is served up daily and it truly is superior to average bar food. Serious root-vegetable eaters can sample boxty, a rustic potato griddle cake, or indulge in corned beef and cabbage. Other notable menu items include the beer-battered cod and the Gaelic steak. But don't fret, in addition to its meaty Irish menu, the pints and sing-alongs flow freely, too.
