Cruising downtown Dearborn is a way of life. If you refuse to cruise, you'll chance missing out on a large percent of the action in the town. But cruise too quickly and you'll surely zip right by the city's answer to classic hob knobbing since 1997, Double Olive. Tiny in size, no bigger than the shop that previously called the address home, Double Olive Dearborn is the second home to martini-philes of all persuasions. Hot, spicy, sweet or strong, your poison is available here. In addition, the 'Hollywood-style' lounge serves crisp scotches and whiskeys along with lovely Belgian brews and champagnes. And what better way to enjoy your cocktail than in the warm tones of green and brown? Deep couches and high tables rival only the bar for sitting, where bartenders have been known to uphold conversation with stellar flair. Don't miss the rock 'n' roll, though. Just because Double Olive Dearborn is a card-carrying lounge, doesn't mean metal hits and modern classics are out of the question.

the DO is trash...there are very interesting people in there (weird and dirty mostly). Its definetly nothing special and nothing to look forward to, just like the rest of the bars in Dearborn.

Nothing Special
By sno0909 on 07/03/2007
The Double Olive is borderline average at best. Everyone seems to be friendly, but the "type" of people that go there are sometimes questionable (i.e. I saw two guys walk in wearing saggy jeans and tank tops). You really have to go hunting if you want to find pretty people - the crowd looks average. But the WORST part of the place: it is so incredibly dark you cannot figure out what the hell is going on in front of you. I know they are going for a "back-door entrance" type of LA lounge, but this place crosses the line. It's Dearborn for crying out loud, I need to be able to see my surroundings.
