Focus: HOPE has been a success story from the very start. Situated in one of Detroit's most impoverished areas, the non-profit agency took on the challenge of helping the community help itself -- first through food distribution, then through high-tech skill training and education. In a balcony overlooking the impressive training complex you'll find Focus: HOPE Gallery. Highly committed to educating the community about Metro Detroit's cultural quilt, the gallery offers shows year-round with a particular focus on Latino, African-American, Native American and Arab-American cultures. It also plays an important role in the area as an accessible venue to display and view art.
