Certainly, this interesting little establishment caters to those who expect a wet burrito or platter of fajitas when visiting a Mexican restaurant. But the owners of the family-run El Guelaguetza Mexican Restaurant also offer a great array of authentic fare from their native Oaxaca, Mexico. Menu items like molotes (a fried puff filled with chorizo sausage and potatoes), tamales, talludas (which are like tostados) and mole set the restaurant apart from the typical ''Amerimexican'' places around Metro Detroit. And they draw in a crowd thats much more diverse than one might spot at the larger chains. Dont expect a ton of ambience. Honestly, your taste buds will forgive you.

Very Tasty food
Very good and tasty food here . I had the Carnitas and it was very good . I would recomend it highly and will go back again
Authentic Mexican Cuisine
Guelaguetza is a wonderful place for authentic Mexican Cuisine. Since I live in Roseville I dine there frequently. My only hope is that they bring back the Cholula Hot Sauce. My last time there they had some no-name hot sauce that was not of the caliber that the food deserves.

This is a charming, clean Mexican restaurant with a fairly extensive menu. The food is prepared well and the service is polite and efficient.
