Step inside Hermann's, located in one of downtown Royal Oak's oldest commercial buildings, and soak in the warm, cozy bakery aroma and old-world atmosphere. Hermann's lures in passersby with a window display stocked with goodies; once inside, visitors can take in historical photos from the bakery's 65 years that line its walls, sip cider or coffee at a table and try out freshly baked bread, tarts, donuts, frosted sugar cookies and more. Hermann's offers up lunch items like beef pasties and quiche, but the best reason to visit is to sample the sugary treats.

A Metro Area Institution!
Hermann's is truly a treasure to those of us who live in Royal Oak. This family-owned, hometown institution feeds our bodies and our souls with seasonal delights and daily staples.
Families around here mark the seasonal holidays with Hermann's paczki, king cakes and Easter breads; with Christmas cookies and fruit cakes; and our family has celebrated birthdays with Hermann's delicious cakes for nearly 20 years.
Day-to-day, Hermann's breads, rolls and cookies add an old-fashioned taste of tradition to today's otherwise hurried, fast-food lifestyle.
Best Bread anywhere
Hermann's Bakery makes the best bread! Once you've had Hermann's bread, you won't want any other kind. Donuts, fritters, cookies, croissants and cakes taste as good as they look and the aroma is heavenly! Go in for the bread and take home some special treats.
