Mexican Fiesta Restaurant   

Wow. You get a massive amount of food for a moderate price at this western Wayne County family Mexican eatery. Choose from more than 40 options, specializing mainly in authentic south-of-the-border appetizers, tostadas, enchiladas, burritos and enormous entrees. Main dishes like the Mexican sandwich, tender cactus, Mexican beef stew and A La Mejicana Steak (among two dozen other entrees) show up on a lot of plates around here. Done up like a huge cantina inside, the food is as comparable to that you'd find in Mexicantown and has a rich family atmosphere. For some reason, the coleslaw, of all things, is done really well here. Sit down in the main dining or the bar (it has TVs) and you'll be comfortable either way. This has been an east staple for so long, it's sick. Weekends are especially hectic, so showing up at the peak dinner hour might leave you a wait. It's clean, hearty and authentic.
