Metro Detroiters have counted on Mr. B's for Fred Flintstone-sized burgers since the 1980s. Never skipping a beat, even after some thirty years, new locations serving the trademark seasoned fries and ground-beef patty have cropped up from Rochester to Clarkston. Packed with pool tables, video games and televisions Mr. B's Royal Oak location is the home bar of thirtysomethings with a love for the game. But under the exposed wood ceiling, you'll find families, business colleagues and motorcycle gearheads, as well. All come to chill and chat under the deer busts and antlers that give B's its laid-back lodge aura. From the lower level banquet room to the two spacious barrooms, B's is the city's largest bar by far. Look for the hopping patio come summer months, when the entire city congregates outside. Located on Main Street, B's usual line-up of customer's bikes out front is a great reference point.

Good place to hang out
By Bolson3 on 06/18/2008
Mr. B's is a nice place to hang out. Good location with parking, which is rare in Royal Oak. If you want to watch sports, there isn't a better place to go, especially for the big sporting nights. Whether you want to start there for happy hour or stay there all night, we think it's the best spot in town.

The other reviews are a scam job by the competitors! Don't listen to them!

The food is great, the service is great, the people are great who go there. It's the best sports bar in the suburbs- just go there during a major event and you will see the people flooding the bar. The food portions are extremely generous and prices are fair and competitive for the area. I have never had a bad meal there. This place rocks!

typical for R.O.
By joykaz on 03/10/2005
I used to eat at Mr. B's in West bloomfield all the time! GREAT FOOD and the prices were alright. Service was very good too. Sorry they closed. $10 for b-day food too. R.O. is the opposite. High prices, very small portions, and less than average quality. Service could be better too. But can't you say that about most (all) of the joints in R.O.??
