All hail The Hani. While National Coney Island is widely regarded for legendary dogs slathered in special sauce and onions, the grilled chicken breast in a thick pita sandwich is also quite a standby. Spacious and well-lit, there is rarely a wait, despite being insanely busy during lunch time. A rounded counter suits those dining solo. The menu, well-rounded with everything from the grilled cheese to an omelet never disappoints. Despite the speedy service, soups and salads, as well as staples such as the National's turkey club -- always fresh and tasty. Like the rest of the metro Detroit locations (two new ones recently opened at Metro Airport), the waitstaff is as fast and courteous as they come. If you're in for lunch, they know that and bust serious tail to get you nourished and back to work. Most Nationals also draw a late-night crowd, when partying-induced appetites kick in.

We've been taking our kids there for about 10 years now...some waitstaff have noticed when my kids have gotten their haircut or their braces off! Very nice waitresses, decent food. We'll be back.
