Imagine enjoying a meal, when, all of a sudden, baboons start beating their chests and elephants roar. At Rainforest Cafe, you're likely to find yourself becoming entranced by the rainforest atmosphere just as you are caught in a simulated thunderstorm, which even includes the startling sound of thunder. The entertainment section of the meal also includes live parrots, a store and educational tours with accommodations for groups of between three and 300. You can check in for dinner and come back at your appointed time, minimizing your wait and allowing you to maximize your opportunity to shop the other stores of Great Lakes Crossing mall. And you can feel like you've made a difference just by going about your business: the extra change tossed into the Wishing Pond and five percent of your Safari Club enrollment fees help fund a South American rainforest preservation foundation.

Great Place For Kids
By MizPrynces2U on 06/21/2008
I love taking my children (Girl age 6, 2 boys age 5 and 17 months). Lunch is affordable and the kids love the never ending slush they can have in their little plastic cups with frogs on them. The rain storms excite the baby and the kids love when the lightning strikes and the elephant makes noise. We usually get seated by the beautiful fountain and under the Cheetah in the tree in the round booth and it is a great spot. I love the authentic smell of grilling food and rainforest. The pot stickers are GREAT and I love the sauce that comes with them. When we are in line if there is a wait most of the time there will be a scuba diver cleaning the overhead fish tank and that is just a little extra bonus for the already excited kids.

You should go once
By brninthe60s on 05/04/2005
The atmosphere is wonderful and great fun for the kids. You should go there once. Once is all you need to realize that despite the great "jungle theme" the food is sub-par.

The volcano is a desert that I highly recommend. Our whole family loved it. We also love going there. The service is beyond excellent. Our children love the sounds and the fish.
