Metro Detroit has a strong gay community, yet the area isn't exactly crawling with gay clubs, especially ones that target women. Stiletto's, which opened in 1994, is lesbian-owned and, while men are welcome and can often be found in the crowd, the place is mainly for the girls. Live entertainment runs the gamut from drag shows to live music. There's also plenty of dancing, along with a friendly staff. Stiletto's owner recently opened Pink on the city's East side, so metro Detroit women can look forward to expanded options.

Awesome place
The best part about Stilettos is that there are no ghetto-type fights. You don't even have to be patted-down to get in! If you go to the other lesbian clubs closer to or in Detroit, expect a fist-fight among drunk and angry studs by 2:00am. Too much for this 30 year old.
If only Stilettos would transition to a smoke-free establishment (or get better ventilation), I'd actually have friends who want to go there with me! LOL
Stiletto's is the Best!!
While a lot of the other clubs in the area are stagnating...Stiletto's continually is re-inventing itself to be the club where anyone can feel comfortable and have a great time. While it's truly a women's club...the guys are always welcome and have a blast too. Hershae Chocolatae is there hosting on the show side every Saturday but the first Saturday of the month and she puts on a hell of a show, too. Every weekend...Stiletto's is working hard to quickly become one of the top showbars in the midwest. Definitely worth checking out!
