Your antique stein is just sitting there on the shelf. Ye Olde Tap Room is the best reason to pull it down, dust it off and take it on a field trip. As any true beer fanatic knows, the Tap Room exists with one shining goal: Provide connoisseurs with an endless supply of fantastic brews. With a history of pouring foamy brews over the past 80 years -- which puts it squarely in the years of Prohibition -- Ye Olde Tap Room's regulars are both friendly and well-versed in the world of hops and barley. So bring your mug and take a worldwide tour that'll leave you bubbling with satisfaction. But leave room for specialty cheeses and sausages, which make for a complete Ye Olde experience. And, whatever you do, be sure to immortalize your night in the "Hall Of Foam." Goodness knows you and your friends may forget the fun you've have, but the folks at Ye Olde never miss a new member of the order. Bottoms up.

It's nice to go to a bar where you can hold a stimulating conversation and sample any kind of beer you can imagine. Great place for the mind and palet.

Great place to relax.

My favorite bar in town. The beer selection is the best around. Good atmosphere, but the beer selection, and the barkeeps knowledge of them all is awesome. You need to hit this place.

Good atmosphere, good prices, great times!
By JeffroSuperStar on 05/19/2008
Sure it's a little dark and a tad smoky, but if you like beers from all over the world (bottles and tap) at prices that won't break the bank (I'm looking at you, Shores Inn), Ye Olde Tap Room is the place to be! More of a wine drinker? They've got you covered! A great place to hang with friends, try something new and also escape from the top 40 music and dance beats taking over every other bar / club.

peanuts on the floor

Nothing fancy, but pleasant old interior. Good mix of patrons, from young to old. Throw your peanut shells right on the floor. Toss some darts. Try a new beer each time you visit. Always a great time.
