Very Very Good
This is the absolute best authentic mexican restaurant I have ever been to. I drive over an hour just to eat here! More Reviews
Absolutely fabulous
The atmosphere was totally perfect and the service was great! I am glad to say that the appearance of the restaurant matched the quality and taste of the food. My friends and I were very impressed. The patriot martini was a definite hit! I highly recommend it. More Reviews
Great Detroit Classic
This place has been around since well before I was born, and I aint' young. There is an air about the place that shouts CLASSIC. The staff that I had the pleasure of speaking with had been at Carl's for many many years. They had fascinating stories about the past, and they shared some great insight on Detroit. Everyone was so nice, and so professional. I felt very underdressed - simply because the folks there put so much care in every detail of our time spent there. The rooms haven't been updated in quite a while (I'm guessing since the 70's) but for someone like me - that makes it that much more a classic. The food was AWESOME... I got a steak and so should you. It's a chop house with a big cow on the front - you figure it out.
Not only did I enjoy the food and the service, but the ambiance was as I had hoped. This is a true Detroit classic that I hope will continue throughout the years to come. More Reviews
