There's really nothing subtle about this local Lebanese chain of restaurants. While locations vary in size, the menus are identical and the decor is similar. Sit among the brightly colored, ornate artifacts from the Middle East, soak up the native music and inhale the pungent, pleasant variety of spices coming from the kitchen. It's a sublime experience. The endless baskets of fresh-from-the-oven pita are perfect for dipping in hummus. A great way to dip your shish (skewer) into this cuisine is through the sampler meals, including a vegetarian combo, a shish combo and, most famously, the flaming tower. For about $100 you and your crew can feast on 12 skewers of a variety of shish kabobs, vegetable side dishes and a large salad platter. The highly dramatized presentation alone is enough to induce an order, but the food is scrumptious every time. -- Heidi Rehak
