The Whitney is Detroit's most celebrated restaurant. Housed in a historic 52 room 1890's mansion on Woodward Avenue in the heart of Detroit's cultural district. The Whitney features award-winning cuisine prepared by Chef Michael Lutes, while Master Sommelier Claudia Tyagi brings her extensive knowledge and expertise to create a world class wine list. And remember, there is always room for Pastry Chef Paul Suriano's mouth-watering desserts.

Detroit's Most Elegant
By freigeld on 12/30/2006
I have dined in some of the finest restaurants in five continents around the world and my home town Whitney ranks with the best. I have taken out-of-town guests to the Sunday brunch twice and reveled in their awe. Truely one of Detroit's jewels.

There isn't a more romantic restaurant in metro Detroit. I've dined there about six times a year for many years and always enjoy great service and good food.
