The Whitney is Detroit's most celebrated restaurant. Housed in a historic 52 room 1890's mansion on Woodward Avenue in the heart of Detroit's cultural district. The Whitney features award-winning cuisine prepared by Chef Michael Lutes, while Master Sommelier Claudia Tyagi brings her extensive knowledge and expertise to create a world class wine list. And remember, there is always room for Pastry Chef Paul Suriano's mouth-watering desserts.

for the amount of money you spend I would much prefer the grill at the ritz carlton, where the service is always good .

I have been to the Whitney prior to the Symphony for brunch and lunch during the week and I have to agree with the other reviews that with the prices they charge the service needs some improvement. Get rid of the snotty attitudes and concentrate more on your guests in a more timely manner. Where do they get those guys from anyway? Nice atmosphere though...should think about marketing the "haunted" part of the home's history!

Went there with a group for Brunch with Santa. Portions were small with no taste. I really didn't like the idea that they used the parking lot across the street for valet and bolted your vehicle back across the street to me when I got ready to leave. Went to Burger King afterwards, sorry.
