Jaxon's Restaurant & Brewery   

Our first trip to Jaxons was just short of a nightmare. We placed our orders and got out drinks and waited about 45 minutes before we said something to the waiter. Apparently he'd forgotten to send our orders back to the kitchen. He "fixed" it by putting a rush on the orders. Great, except you can't really "rush" a steak. The steak was overcooked. The chinese chicken salad (I think that’s what it was called) looked great, minus the fact there wasn't a single piece of chicken in it. They have a drink special consisting of 5 small glasses of some of their signature homebrew beer. They were out of enough kinds that we ended up having to double-up on 1 choice. The dogs did enjoy the replacement steak the manager was so kind to have cooked up for us. Last time I checked, most managers end up taking the screwed up meal off the bill for you because by the time they make a new dish the meals already over for everyone else. Not this guy. We gave it another shot a few days ago. The chile-potato soup tasted like it had sat on the pot since the day before. We found a hair in the burger and sent it back (thankfully before a bite was taken from it). They made another burger, but again, by the time it got back the meal was already over. Threw the "take home burger" away once we got home (not even fit for the dogs). Never again. Piss poor quality control, the food that they can get right is sub-par and unoriginal, and the service has been mediocre at best. Jaxons stays empty for a reason. Stay away from this place. We've gotten better food and service at the Chili's over on Lee Trevino.

Great service, by far the best beer in the area. Food is good also.

They have a good atmosphere and very good food. Nice thing, if you don['t like what you oardered, they will bring you something else. Customers are number one there. The salads are fantastic. chilie con queso, diablo chicken salad, salsa, green chile potato soup (to die for) I have never had anything that was not great there. Very pleasant staff.

My daughter's and I frequent this place, probably going at least once a month, we love the quesadillas, the diablochicken ,chicken vaquero, jaxon's soup, and oh the ribs are devine, the service is almost always very good, only once do I remember being disappointed. Love the atmosphere too!! Great place to take out of town guest!
