Finding a good Irish stout on tap is harder than a lot of people might think. Beer drinkers know you can't just go to one of those chain restaurants where it's probably been sitting in the kegs since the days of Saint Patrick. If you want a real, creamy pint, you've got to go to a real Irish pub. Sullivan's on French Street has been pouring pints of the dark stuff since 1905. With 16 beers on tap, including Guinness and three Erie brews, you're bound to find a draught to suit your mood. Sullivan's also offers a menu of hearty pub fare for lunch and dinner, including grub like the Erie Cheesesteak and Irish Grilled Cheese, made with a handful of curly fries built right into the sandwich (that way, you've always got one hand free for drinking). The fish-and-chips, served on Fridays, is especially popular. Those who want to get up and move can dance the night away to the sounds of a DJ on Friday and Saturday nights.

Great Place
By steelecrow on 02/16/2008
I went to Edinboro University down the road about 15 miles, and anytime I had an extra hour or so to enjoy life, I would jet into Sullivan's. I never had the chance to drink for many hours at a time, but...I was there many times for the simple drink or 2 and meal, and loved it....I highly advise swinging into this perfect pub establishment!!!

I'v been to sullivan's a few time the people have always been friendley, the food has been pretty good, and a fair price in the drink department. The decor is pretty nice with the old antiques on the walls , and with th addition of the nfl sunday ticket on four or five screens this makes sullivans a good place to go and hve fun.
