Rate and Write a Review More likely to evoke Taco Bell's salivating Chihuahua than not, Mexican Village is comfortable with its casual approach toward Mexican food. Though it flogs the south-of-the- border theme pretty relentlessly, visitors would do well to shed any preconceived notions of "real" Mexican food when stepping through the Village's doors and just be happy to find filling, highly seasoned foods at reasonable prices. So grab a Rainbow Margarita, dip into a bowl of spicy tortilla cheese soup with cubed avocados, and kick back and peruse the Mex- American style entrees (broccoli burritos, anyone?). Oh, and unless you have a dying palate and a penchant for pain, when your server says that an item is hot and spicy, believe it.

Mexican-style food with out the Mexican-Style flair
I have eaten at this restaurant many times over the years, and in all fairness they are a good Mexican-styled restaurant, with good ambiance, but they lack a true Mexican-style cuisine & traditional Mexican flair that would make them a truly great and unique restaurant. The unlimited basket of chips and salsa are very good as this fills up the average person well before the meal comes, which I suppose is to make up for the somewhat bland and unimaginative food. Service at both locations (45th Street and the one on Main Ave) are average, and the cost for a family is not prohibitive. If you have a large party, I would recommend getting reservations especially at the Main Ave location to avoid long wait times. All in all with the choices for Mexican dining in the Fargo-MHD area being limited, this is an adequate dining experience, but no need to rush out and stand in line.
Awesome
Top Mexican restaurant in FM
Great food, good service, large meals and excellent pricing. It has been one of the best in FM for many years and always a solid place to eat.
Oh please.
Clueless service, marginal food quality.
