Angelo's Coney Island   

One of Flint's original tasting coney islands. Coneys are excellent. The service and atmosphere is creepy though.

In years past Angelo's was the Number 1 Coney Island of Flint. But alas no more.............with health ratings in the Flint Journal posting how nasty the place is. When owners changed a few years back and the new owner made changes.........guess he never heard of the old saying "if ain't broke, don't fix it". I grew up on the Eastside of Flint and ate Angelo's for years and enjoyed it. Took out of towners there to eat to show off our famous coney island. But it ain't the same place..............and that makes me sad. As an adult I moved from the city limits of Flint to the suburbs, but like many others I still came back to Angelo's at least once a week if not more often to eat. But as the changes took place in recent years I no longer go there, and I know many people who no longer go there. Now if I want a good ole greasy cheeseburger or coney dog, or fries with gravy I go to Starlite.
