Why should Michael Jordan have all the fun running a restaurant? Packers quarterback and three-time MVP Brett Favre might not be in the kitchen grilling steaks, but you never know when he'll be dropping by to make sure that the Southern hospitality is as warm as the food and that all his memorabilia is hung on the walls correctly. The food is inspired by Favre's Mississippian background, so his restaurant may provide the easiest way to have Cajun goodies like crawfish, catfish, and red beans and rice soup without leaving the Badger State. When the breaded and baked wedge of Wisconsin kasseri cheese is flamed tableside with brandy, it's a better show than anything at halftime. Prime rib is available in 16-ounce and linebacker-sized 24- ounce portions. There's a fantastic selection of wines and beers to go with any dinner chosen from the playbook. And you don't have to be an armchair quarterback to enjoy your meal -- the decor is more dark mahogany than metal locker- room.

I went to dinner with my wife and we had to split a steak dinner because the prime rib and baked potato servings were so huge. Food was great, prices very reasonable. Anyone who tells you the food is average doesn't eat a lot of steak and must not get out much. We waited in the bar for about 20 minutes for our table, enjoyed a drink and then had a great dinner.

I went twice, first time it took over an hour after I placed my order for an average at best steak. The second time I thought another bad experience couldn't happen. An hour later and a steak that was burned and black. I will never go back, I'd rather go to ponderosa.
