Looking to indulge all your latent Creole cravings? Get over to this local gem, where the gumbo is spiced just right and the zydeco is kickin'. Locals dig the food, as do the few travelers that get to try it. The after-hours scene features live music (blues, rock, funk and the aforementioned zydeco) and serious drinking. It's renowned for its selection of draft beers (about 50, but who's counting?), as well as its impressive single-malt scotch collection. College students and corporate types alike are common here -- apparently, the allure of the microbrews is too much to resist. People also like the friendly, casual vibe. Though the inside can get crowded during busy times, the outdoor patio is open all the time. -- Lena Katz

This place has the best atmosphere in Greensboro! A huge selection of draft beers plus awesome live music always equals a great time at the Mag.

Did not enjoy myself at all. The staff was extremely rude. The service was horrible.
