The food at this retaraunt is terrible - inedible!!

Went there for the duck which was fabulous. Service was also excellent and the escargot were to die for!! The restaurant was a little too brightly lit for the romantic evening I had in mind but it was very good even though the side dish of sauerkraut that came with the duck was more like cream of mush--not one of the chef's better efforts!! The bread and cheeses that came with the meal were hot, fresh and delicious and the duck and escargot were to die for. The bright lighting and mushy sauerkraut are the only reason I didn't give a five star rating

This is my favorite restaurant in Tidewater. Adolph and Anna make the best duck on the east coast! This restaurant is warm and hospitable. Also if you ever can avoid eating the duck (almost impossible), try the Veal Holstein sometime. The Kraut is unbelievable.

Wonderful meal and atmosphere! The portions were more than enough. I think we are way too used to buffet style meals. The food was amazing. I strongly recommend the veal cordon bleu and the apple struedel!! YUM!
