Nutty Buddys' exterior is more interesting that its interior. The building's outside is covered with some fairly impressive artist renderings of Laurel and Hardy, Lucy and Dezi, the Marx Brothers and assorted other nutty buddies. But you may want to stay outside and peruse the artwork; the darker and dank interior isn't half as attractive. Predominantly a gay and lesbian bar and restaurant that doubles as a meeting place, Nutty Buddys considers itself casual and cozy. Bar drinks are typical, and the food is not outstanding. Sandwiches, the usual fried appetizer selections and uncomplicated selections like steaks are available. DJs play dance tunes on the weekends. TIP: If you're straight, you'll feel out of place. -- Ellen Anitai

Dancin til close

Im the kind of person to dance til the place shuts down and this is a good spot for that. The dance floor is packed from about 1230 til close. Drinks are strong and the crowd is cute. Not the biggest, but it's okay.

The good ole Nutty's
By gwsnorfolk on 06/27/2007
Nutty Buddy's use to be the best nightclub/restaurant in Hampton Roards, but that was a few years ago. Then it went to a drug invested very tack drag club, with no appeal whatsoever. I understand it just recently sold to the owner of the Hershe Bar, lets hope the new owner will restore it back to some decency where people will feel save going there. The old Nutty is very much missed by many.
