This high-fashion outpost has a devoted following of clients who travel in from places as far away as Syracuse and New Hampshire for an appointment with one of the salon's expert coiffeurs. The salon is also popular with local modeling agencies, and its owner, Johnny Lavoy, is often called away to style celebrity tresses for photo shoots and events. But unlike many posh Manhattan salons, Moda Rey emphasizes the importance of adapting trendy styles into wearable looks. Clients don't have to worry about walking out with a bizarre, too-funky hairdo; the end result is always contemporary and flattering.

I love this salon
I have been going to Moda Rey for about a year. My hair has not looked this good :). The atmosphere is awesome, and the hairstylists are very friendly. I have recommended Moda Rey to all my friends. If you just need a trim, or you want a complete makeover, Moda Rey is the place to go.
