This is hands-down the best place to go for happy hour in Hartford. On Fridays, Bourbon Street lays out a spread equivalent to some weddings we've been to. Besides the traditional happy hour treats (wings, mozzarella sticks), there also an assortment of cheeses, crackers, fruits and vegetables. If your happy hour hunger is more involved, then there's a giant sub and usually a roast beef that is hand- carved before your eyes. The spread covers an entire pool table and is a welcome treat after a hard week of pushing your pencil. BSN is a hot spot Thursdays through Saturdays. The crowd is generally late 20s to early 30s. Ok, BSN has the right atmosphere, but the WRONG music. They try to straddle the fence betwixt laid-back pub and techno hot-spot. PICK ONE for cryin' out loud. Oh, and watch out for the overly frisky bartenders offering freebies to the debaucherous ladies. One in particular, TIM, is a slick dude, don't fall for his shenanigans.

I haven't been to BSN in about 10 months so maybe the atmosphere has changed but I remember it being a pretty good time but wishing there were more latin and Afro American men and women. Otherwish, it's a nice place to grab a couple drinks, socialize and meet some new people. I have to say it's better than most bars in it's surrounding area.

Bourbon Street is the place where my ex Boyfriend, Victor, cheated on me for months! Now I understand why his happy hour was lasting until 3am...You girls might know my ex: tall, handsome black guy, working at ING, I am sure this idiot already gave you his business card. WHAT A LOSER!

I would rate it higher if it wasn't Hartford. Just knowing you are in the laughing stock city of the US is a downer!!
