Tucked away next to the Outrigger Canoe Club at the foot of Diamond Head, this hotel has always been the perfect spot for those who want to be close enough to the center of Waikiki to be a part of the action, but far enough away to enjoy the quieter side of casual island relaxation. Now operated by the W hotels, this small intimate hotel has been re-done in rich fabrics and textures, clean oriental lines and neutral colors. Plush bathrobes and Aveda bath products are standard in these luxury rooms along with dual-line cordless phones, VCR, CD players, coffee makers, down comforters and pillows. The views of the Pacific Ocean and Diamond Head are absolutely fabulous! With only 44 guest rooms, 3 suites and 1 two bedroom penthouse, this property is high on personalized service and that is immediately evident when greeted upon arrival with a fresh flower lei, cool everages and face towels. One of Waikiki's best restaurants, Diamond Head Grill, is located at the the hotel entrance and the Waikiki Aquarium and Honolulu Zoo is certainly within walking distance.
