In the northwest part of town, the SideCar Pub attempts to bring a European pub experience to Houston. Decor and furniture from the continent, a selection of more than 140 beers, an extensive liquor and cigar collection and excellent coffee drinks all serve this goal. Since its opening in 1996, the SideCar has also been committed to being a showcase for local and Texas bands, as well as periodic national touring acts. The building's height, wood walls and carpet help provide bands and audiences with good acoustics. And the pub's desire to book music of almost any genre six nights a week (often with four bands in a night) keeps visitors coming back.

Terrible Bar
I went to the Sidecar Pub last weekend. It's standing room only with a group of hateful employees that don't know the first thing about handling a crowd.
