It's our favorite!
Backstreet Cafe has been our favorite restaurant for many years. The food and service are reliably topnotch. Whether we're celebrating and achievement or just looking for a lovely lunch or dinner, Backstreet is the first place that comes to mind. Don't miss the Sunday brunch, it's the best!
How Romantic
Hidden away this very romantic, upscale place is very reasonable priced. I enjoyed dinning in there and the patio was SUPER !!! The host was a grand treat he was splended and accomdated our every need. My only recommendation is fill the wine glasses fuller and give larger appetizer portions. Other than that this is a wondrful treat and one that can be afforded. Try the meatloaf, chicken or shrimp Gooooood !!!
Sump20's Review
If I could rate a restaurant -5 stars this would take the prize. Awful experience at the Backstreet Cafe and will never go again. We had a reservation for a party of 15 and when we arrived our server was very rude. We ordered a couple bottles of wine and the server seemed to be stalling with the delivery of the bottles. The manager visited our table and informed my friend that he could not drink but he was completely sober. After a good 30 minutes of waiting, no wine was ever delivered and we were being ignored. The manager revisited our table and carded all of the 25-30 year old guests. Finally after another wait with no wine, no food order taken, and only water on the table my party decided to get up and leave. On the way out, the not-so-friendly manager was more than happy to tell us "GOODBYE!". We went to eat at the restaurant across the street and enjoyed ourselves after the awful and rude Backstreet Cafe experience. As someone that did my time working in restaurants during college, I was appalled at the way we were treated by both the server and the management at the Backstreet Cafe. If I was given a chance to taste the food, I would have been able to comment on it.
