Zoom in on the name -- Mac Frugal -- and you'll have this place figured out. Cheap costume jewelry, off-brand greeting cards, scented candles and oodles of makeup start off your trip inside. And they do mean frugal. Little girls' dresses, boys' pants and women's blouses can be found for less than $4 on a sale day. Otherwise, the price can shoot up to a whopping $5.99. Grab a box of Q-tips for a quarter or a school notebook for a buck. Linens, towels, washcloths, scatter rugs, pots and pans, glassware, silk flowers, CDs and canned foods each have sections of their own. Toys line the back walls, while the center is usually reserved for holiday specials throughout the year. How is everything so cheap? They buy "seconds" from manufacturers, take in bulk over shipments from local retailers and stock last seasons' fashion trends. Have fun digging through the bargains.
