Ibiza like it's namesake off the coast of Spain, Houston's own Ibiza throbs with a confluence of sophisticated style setters, exciting environs and fabulous flare. Awash in cool blues, the restaurant evokes a modern Mediterranean Mecca where scenesters and foodies alike worship at the foot of owners Grant Cooper and Chef Charles Clark's open kitchen.

The Chef with no respect
By bluetimmy on 02/22/2006
The owners of this restaurant do not respect their clientele and from personal experience I can tell you that they will literally throw you out for sending food back that was obviously not cooked as requested. The co-owners (floor manager and chef) will bring to the table the food you sent back in an attempt to make you realize your “mistake” by intimidating you with a very harsh tone of voice and a physical demeanor that is threatening and downright hateful. Instead of having had a celebratory diner for a very special occasion among friends, these people managed to make a scene at their own restaurant and in turn disgrace the presence of everyone dining that night. In a nutshell, the owners have a short fuse and will explode if you say something about the food you order and pay for. “Taking pride” of their food makes them forget they are providing a service and if they cannot do that with dignity and respect, maybe they are in the wrong business.

I took a business client here late on a Wednesday night. The atmosphere was great. The service was even better; especially since it was at the end of the night. The menu was interesting and the food turned out to be excellent. My client was impressed, as was I.

Jgold18KT's Review

Outstanding food and decor. The outdoor ambiance is great, the service was great. I loved the Salmon cooked to perfection w/Crab, the cornbread and shrimp appitizers excellent and if you've never sipped on Quatro y tres, try it! Great night cap. A little $$$ but I don't mind when the total package is great.
