Jenni's Noodle House   

At first glance, Jennis Noodle House looks like it may just serve the overflow crowd from Kim Son and several other larger Vietnamese restaurants nearby. Upon closer inspection, which requires parking in a trashy little shopping center with co-tenants like ''Saigon Travel'' near the intersection of I45 and US Highway 59 in old China Town, Jennis Noodle House has a multi-cultural following all its own. With walls emblazoned with red paint, pink flamingos in the side yard and signs that read ''Live Girls *Noodle,'' this kitsch haunt serves up traditional Vietnamese Pho alongside fun dishes such as Art Car Curry, Mighty Wonton Soup, Good Karma Noodles and Sexy Salad. The counter service restaurant is accessorized with a fun web site that provides all of the gossip regarding Jennis varied and often artistic clientele including fictional claims that Madonna eats there. Jennis is a low key, hang-out place with WiFi and pre-sliced desserts saran wrapped down to plates in an open cooler. All in all, its a warm rendition of House of Pies meets Pho.
