When you think pub, Kenneally's is the sort of place that comes to mind. It's a small comfortable place with dart boards, regulars and welcoming owners who aren't fussy about ''decor'' or other such silly matters, but know the important things in life -- like how to pour a good head on a pint of Guinness or keep a jukebox stocked with a lively mix of current and classic Irish and Celtic favorites. If you are in a daring mood, try Kenneally's Irish Car Bomb, which mixes all three classic Irish forms of alcohol in one precarious drink: Bailey's Irish Cream, Guinness and a shot of Irish whiskey. That'll get your Irish eyes to smiling. Enjoy nice days on the deck out back. Plus Kenneally's offers a quite decent selection of bar food, including Kenneally's thin-crust pizza (and we're talking THIN) that many claim is the best in town. Pizza in an Irish pub? Go figure. But the owners are from Chicago, and they do make a corned beef pizza, called the Shamrock Special, just to keep it Irish. -- Ann Walton Sieber
