If you're a young twentysomething yuppie and live in the loop, chances are you're all too familiar with the Marquis (a.k.a. "the Deuce"). Passersby usually write off the seedy and windowless exterior as a strip club, never imagining what the place is really like inside. OK, so it's still dark and dingy, but the crowd is reminiscent of your best friend's living room, where everyone gathers for a cocktail or four. (Though most living rooms don't include large-screen TVs, pool tables, video games and enough round-table seating for the whole bar.) This neighborhood dive is famous, or infamous, for its Tuesday night Long Island iced teas that go down easy but in excess will leave you beggin' for mercy. And for those afraid of a little cigarette smoke stench and the roar of a crowd unwinding after work, you'd best stay away because this is one bar that won't go a changin'.
